An Adventurous Vacation

It was perfect weather for our fabulous animal filled vacation. We were all in need of a get-away and this was the beginnings of celebrating Shawn's BIG 3-0!!

Our trip to San Diego was filled with great new memories, tons of pictures-- over 600... if you can believe it, loads of animals, friends and family. It was our first family trip where Jack was so excited and interested in everything.

We packed as much as we could into each day!

We went to Little Italy-- and dined on some truly amazing pizza. Shawn had also found this super neat frozen yogurt shop... Yogurtland-- fro yo is Jack's ultimate fav!! So, if you live in the San Diego area... you have got to go check out Yogurtland! Jack and I would be there everyday if we lived closer!

Jack enjoyed strolling around while he ate his pizza....
chairs apparently are overrated!

say.... yogurt!

Lovin' his yogurt!

Next on our list was the Children's Museum... which was lots of fun! Once we explored all we could inside we headed outside to a near by park. Jack spotted birds from a distance and took off after them.

BIRDIE...Stop running away from me!

waiting for the train to come by....

choo choo!!

Jack's favorites are.... Trucks, Cars, Planes, Fish and Birds! To Jack's delight we saw tons of each of them this trip!

Jack finally got to meet my oldest friend Simi, weve been friends since I was 11! And Jack loved Simi immediately.... he gave her lots of kisses. It was an extra special treat to spend time together.

Jack experienced McDonald's for the very first time...

Shawn planned a wonderful trip and seemed to know where all the fun stuff was. He found a neat park right by the harbor and airport. Jack loved checking out the boats and watching the planes take off.

Jack and Mama

weeee.... Dada finds all the great stuff to do!

Jack and Dada

The best part of the trip was Sea World. Shawn picked the perfect day to go.... the weather was awesome and it wasnt too crowded. There was so much to see and do! Sea World ROCKS!!

The day was filled with a bunch of firsts for Jack....

Jack got to meet 4 Dolphins!
They gathered around him.... it was so neat to watch!

First Time... Eating Corn on the Cob!
Jack doesn't like corn, but he sure likes it on the cob!

First Time... Eating Cotton Candy!
It took a few tries... but he finally realized it was good stuff!

Feeding Stingrays with Dada!
They are slimy creatures!

Jack is addicted to Sesame Street....
so Sesame Street's Bay of Play was a real treat!
We met Abby and Elmo!!
Jack was so excited until we got close to them, then he was shy!

We met Buzby in our hotel lobby... and had to take a picture for Bubbie!

We stayed up late laughing and playing until our tummies hurt!

Helping push our luggage!
Such a BIG Help!

Off to the Wild Animal Park... and to Jack's delight his friend Lily joined us (her mommy and brother too)!

Jack and Lily were so excited to go into the petting farm which was filled with sleeping gazelles. Jack was squealing with pure excitement and needed to touch them all. They were so sweet and kind-- they let him do his thing and continue to lay still.

Shawn was literally covered in birds!!
He even had a bird pee twice on his leg--- eeeewww!

I was trying to get a group shot with Shawn and the birds...
when one decided to take a break on my head!

Jack was pooped after seeing all the animals and playing with Lily that he passed out in his stroller. We stopped by to see my cousin Sharon, but Jack was out cold. Next time we visit-- he will see Lauren and Alex too!

Visiting with Dr. Cousin Sharon at her office in Escondido

Our trip ended with.... Frozen Yogurt of course!
Jack loves his Vanilla!!!!!
He also turned 19 months today!!!!
