Mini Vaca

It was time for the Bergers to take a break from Bergerworld and head out of town. Shawn is the greatest trip planner in the whole wide world and always finds the best deals and all the fabulous places to go. We wanted to do something that was close by and fun, but still feel like a vacation.
Shawn nailed it. He really should be a professional trip planner- he is just so talented.
So....
Shawn found this fantastic hotel called Avia in Long Beach. He was so sweet and shared with them that it was my birthday-- and we were shocked when they showered us with free breakfast buffet tickets and many many drink tickets to the bar. What a lovely way to continue my birthday celebrations and a wonderful way to start our trip.
Our hotel was right by the water and everything was walking distance away. Jack loved the arcade and all the games, everyone loved the beautiful scenery and it was lots of fun walking everywhere.

We ventured to the Long Beach Aquarium-- Jack was on the hunt for Nemo :)

While we were in Long Beach we HAD to stop and eat at Gladstones! Shawn's friend Scott is still a manger there and he treated us like royalty. mmmm, fish!

What should I order?

We had a great time in Long Beach and then we were off to Buena Park. First stop, Downtown Disney!

Staying in a hotel is part of the fun!

Mr. Planner did his research before we drove down and found the coolest McDonald's... it had a ginormous train station with a very fast train named, Helena that went speeding through the mountains and tunnels. Jack squealed when he walked in. It was very cool!
And who doesn't love chicken nuggets and french fries?

Our last stop for our mini vaca was..... Knott's Berry Farm! This is a perfect place to go if you have kids! The park wasnt packed full of people and there were tons of rides that Jack was able to ride on all by himself!! It was awesome! A perfect way to end our trip!
